Tighten the nut until it contacts the rocker shoulder, then torque to 18-20 ft. lbs.

: first i want to say thanks to the people who helped me with my last posts i dont get on too often so i dont post responses most times.
: i have two questions. first how tight should i tighten the rocker arm nuts i have a ford engine overhaul book but all it says it to torque them down and i doesnt say how much.
: second. one of the rocker ams nuts keeps coming loose no matter how much i tighten it and then the rocker arm comes off of the valve tip when i first found out about it i thought it just wasnt tightend properly but i have had to take re-tighten it about once a week and it gets very annoying thanks
