That's interesting, i will make a point to try that. Anyone else gotten that to work??

: I'm curious about this. I've got my Boss 302 in a 69.5 and remember having a hassle getting the tranny mount positioned (It was 15 years ago when I first did this project). It seems to me there were multiple holes in the cross member and it ended up fitting when turned 180 degrees backwards (front of mount towards the back). ???

:
: Also the transmission cross-member mounts will have to be moved on a 1969 1/2. It is different.

: : : If it's a manual transmission, you HAVE to use a V-8 Z-bar. If it's an automatic, the 6-cyl. C-4 is weaker than the ones used with the V-8. You also need the V-8 crossmember, a 3-row radiator is a real good idea, V-8 motor-mounts, etc. Definately use V-8 front springs as you mentioned (unless it's strictly a drag-race car in which case the 6-cyl. springs are best). If the car has a 7.5-inch rearend ('69.5 & '70), the V-8 will shred it to pieces...

: : : : The Suspension is your only concern when droppinbg a 302/289 into
: : : : any Mav. also, you may need to do a little pounding on the tranny
: : : : tunnel but the engine bays are all pretty much the same size. If we
: : : : were talking 351 my answer is different.
