: a leaky exhaust manifold (gasket) can/will cause burnt valves if run that way over a SUSTAINED period of time. Running it a few hundred miles shouldn't hurt it though (maybe your ears!) but the Carbon monOxide (CO) is LETHAL...I suggest keeping the windows open to ensure fresh air in the car. We wouldn't want to lose ya Paulie!

: : I didn't know if you were joking or not but it won't hurt your valves. Might hurt you though if carbon monoxide gets inside the car...

: : : Or maybe it's because one roomie bought a '99 Saturn...
: : : *sigh*
: : : I bought new ball joints and have to wait untill next payday to install them, found out that the exaust system is getting REALLY bad... one of those "fix it before it tears your valves apart" things... And on top of it, the flexplate is showing signs of digesting my starter again...

: : : Usually Alice gives me a few weeks between major money things but I think she's jelous....
