not to love us "guys" ;-) but to call that "thingy" a flywheel on an auto equipped car. If it's just missing teeth (what is it, a hillbilly?) it can be repaired by replacing the ring gear. In any case I still recommend having some other 'mechanics' have a look at it.

: Alice has a 250cc engine, auto tranny... she's "eating" starters.. there is something with missing teeth... Worse part is when I talked to her previous owner (long long time ago) he said that "the flywheel" had been replaced... (Oh dear, looks like someone got roobed YET AGAIN!)
