Got my Autokrafters catalog the other day. I don't think I'll be ordering from them anytime soon. Thank goodness for the salvage yard
(which I just picked up a Rearend w/brakes for $100 bucks today for my maverick, and am going to get a complete 302 for $150).
Almost got it rolling today; put the rearend in it, and one wheel. Then it started snowing bad. Hopefully next week if the weather is good I'll get the motor, take it apart, and clean it up really good. Then my buddy is selling me an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold, Autolite carb, and some tri-y headers for $70. I'm gonna send some pictures of it in to Car Craft magazine and see if they'll print it (since they're always saying mavericks are cool). Did anyone see their "budget Plymouth duster" they built? it cost them like $7000 bucks!! If you really want budget, try a maverick for sure (mine should be under $1500 and look a hell of alot better than an ugly duster!!). Who says Fords are expensive??
