Yeah, I mean ANYTHING is possible; but is it practical? That's all I was saying. If you go to the Photo Gallery on Stefan's site, there is a picture of a red '75 Comet GT that used to belong to a friend of mine. It has a 351 windsor w/headers and the towers were cut back, and it was STILL a pain to change plugs. Another interesting thing about it was that he also had a '72 Grabber with a 302. Both engines were pretty much built the same, with the same intake and exhaust systems & cam. The 302 Grabber actually beat the 351 Comet in the 1/4 mile consistantly. That's why I suggested the 302 because for the trouble, the performance is basicly the same. You just get a little more torque from the stroke of the 351 and that's about it...

: : If you want to be able to change spark plugs...

: : I definatly respect T.L.`S stand point on the spark plug ordeal as he may have had first hand knowledge with a 351w MAV. NO ARGUEMENT FROM ME as to it being a pain to swap plugs. I just wanted to make the options clear. If you didn`t cut the shock towers you might not enjoy owning/working on the car as much ,whereas with `em cut NO WORRYS (except the extra cost envolved). The 71-72 comet GT I saw Was at FUN FORD WEEKEND at the ATLANTA DRAGWAY it was a street car but the owner was racing it . The car may be there this year ,if it is I`ll get some photo`s . OR if he`s reading this right now maybe he`ll post some input, the car was white with black stripes, and has CENTERLINE wheels
