I wanna see the picture!. I can only imagiane what a chop top mav with fenders and doors looks like

:
: : Is there any way you could post that picture here? I think a Maverick with no top is something that we all would like to see!

: : : I confess! My apologies to the purists. I did chop the top off of my '73 when I was 16. It was pretty easy. I did it in my auto shop class, it took about 30 minutes. I used an air chisle with hook. It was like cutting butter. Man it looked good. I'll try to scan a picture of it so I can e-mail it to you. Like Matt said, this was no professional job. We used a tarp to cover it for the bi-anual drizzle. So I can't offer you any advice on making it a real convertable, but I can tell you what it would look like with the top down...a thing of beauty.

: : : : I think D.S. Has something he could say about the convertable he had in high school. It's probably not the prettiest thing, but when you live in California and don't have to worry about the weather, you can make your own genuine converTED (just chop the top off and put a tarp over it when it rains---six times a year). Mavs look NICE with no top. (::)

: : : :
: : : : : I own a 77' Maverick and iv been toying around with options to do to it.
: : : : : Has anybody tried goin from HT to convertible? Has it been done? Some help
: : : : : would be nice.
