The laws do very for insurance, emissions and plates from state to state
some are 20 years and some are 30 but most are 25. Some states don't have
classic laws. A few states have a "Collectors" age of 15 years. In
Japan you must pay heavy taxes for any car older than 5 years old.
(Cant think of any rice burning classics can you?)
In general terms I think most people use 25 for classic and 50 for
antique. Pretty soon we will all be antique car lovers.
