Ive got a really sweet 76 with all the goodies, and its only got 81k original miles on it....
: Yeah, I heard the same. Why don't you go ahead and drain it completely if that hasn't been done lately. It wouldn't hurt. I accidently overfilled my T-bird once and drained from the converter till I got the right amount.

He was referring to a '69 Ford Fairlane Cobra with, I'm sure, a different tranny, but I would assume that it still applies. I'm certainly no expert, but I wouldn't risk it. Transmission work is too expensive.
