OK here we go! The term " classic " is used by many people for various things, but mostly older cars. As I am an avid reader of cars and related materials I recently ran across an article that stated this. No post war car has yet been designated a classic by the Classic Automobile Club. I have attended a few large shows of high quality cars and have seen big fat cat dudes get irate at someone calling a 65 mustang a classic. Crazy huh? Here in IL cars and trucks reach antique status at 25 years and are eligible for the lower priced antique plates. 2 more years and my 76 Stallion will be eligible!
: What is the definition of a classic car? I think I remember hearing somewhere that it was 25 years and older, but I don't know if it varies from state to state or what.
