Did you prime the oil pump before trying to fire the engine? If not you should and like the other guy said get a oil pressure gauge so you know for sure you are getting oil pressure.
: Okay, so double checked all the rocker arms. the only play that I could detect was side to side. I put on a set of roller rocker arms with rails, it seems to me like this side-ways play should be expected. But I think you guys may be right, I think the rocker arms need to be a little tighter. This brings about another problem. The rocker arms are supposed to be stock replacements, the ratio is the same. I also used stock replcement pushrods. But I think the bolt for the rocker arm is bottoming out on the stud and not allowing me to tighten the rocker arm down any farther. Why would this happen...and I'm pretty sure it is since I found that two of the bolts are stripped and will neither tighten nor loosen, yet another problem. Do I need longer pushrods or can I simply use some washers as shims to get the hold down bolt up higher on the stud threads?
: thanks for all the help
