I'm assuming that you did not have the shock towers widened for the 351. Like I said; the stock 302 manifolds are identical to the 351s. If those do not fit, then you're gonna have to "suck-it-up" and buy the headers or else have the towers widened by a custom chassis shop. It's a real pain in the ass swapping a 302 for a 351w in a Maverick but it can be (and is) done. Nowadays, it's really not the best way to add cubic inches because stroker kits are available for the 302 to make it a 347 (only 4 inches less). But externally, the engine doesn't take up any extra space...

: I have a set of manafolds for The 351-w,a 302,and a 255,and none of those will fit.I dont have the original 302 Manifolds off the car.I Was wondering if the manifolds will work off any other car?I found a junk yard pretty close by that said he had a Whole Truck full of old manifolds,So im going to go look through those.I dont really want too put $270 in another set of headers right now.
: There just isnt much room With that 351..Its bigger than i thought it was..

: : The 351w used the same exhaust manifolds as the 302...
