: : O.K. Here is how you remove the collar (some of which you have done). Remove the sterring wheel. Remove the turn signal switch. Remove the ignition switch (not absolutely necessary). The is a snap ring that hold the bearing in place. This will need to be removed with a snap ring removal tool if you want to save the ring, or with a couple of screwdrivers if you want to trash it. I think there might be a couple of nuts/bolts to remove, but I can't remember. After all this, the ignition collar should come off now.
