Well after finding the two vaccum lines mixed up, I got all of the papers on the carb out and gave them a look over. I found out that the carb came with a lockout screw that was needed for manual tranny applications, and was to be removed for automatic applications. Well needles to say the guy didn't bother reading the installation instructions, but to be honest who does? Problem fixed...thanks again.
: Well, I found that the previous owner had taken the carb. off, and when he re-installed it hooked up two of the vaccum lines backwards. Thanks for the help guys.

: : When the engine is cold it starts right up. If the engine has been run for more than a few minutes, then shut off, it won't start back up. I'm leaning towards something electrical, but almost everything is new. The only old parts left are the condensor, (electronic ignition), spark plug wires, and everything under the distributor cap. I was also considering a problem with the carb. Any suggestions?
