Hi All!

I'm currently working on a Maverick/Comet repair info & restoration site for these cars. In it I'm detailing the restoration of my '76 two door Maverick but in doing so have run into a few "walls" concerning parts and restoration information. Luckily Stefan has provided this area as a way to get advice and information on some of the stickier topics.

This site will contain information that is available, but cannot currently be found on other sites, such as step-by-step photographed techniques for doing certain repairs (battery tray area, sway bar mounts, A-Frame replacement, body panel repair, etc). I started this project in November of last year and have photographed everything from engine rebuild to headliner replacement with my Casio digital camera (hey! It was expensive, may as well put it to use!).

Much of the material for the site was gathered, begged and pleaded from the people here. Everything from electrical diagrams to vacuum line routings, 95% of what will be available is from you guys (and gals Paulie! ;)

In that regard, one area of the site really needs YOUR help, namely part numbers and manufacturers of various replacement parts you have used for your Maverick or Comet, no matter how small. Sources of the parts, if not commonly available would also be appreciated. One thing I've found in my restoration is that while the local parts shops actually had the parts, they could not cross-reference them on thier computers. Everything from air filters to leaf spring bushings, ANY part numbers and manufacturers would be appreciated. Email me with the information if you could to help your fellow Maverick & Comet fanatics.

I'm about 2 weeks away from it being up and running and just wanted to say that, no, it's not a replacement for Stefan's site (never will!) but as my way of giving back just a small percentage of the help I've received here.

Regards!
Pegasus
