My father was the original owner of this 2dr dk ivy green 70 maverick.
Back in 1978 I got the car and it had 23k miles on it. It was use as a 3rd string in the family staring in 72 when my father got a company car.
Most of its time was spent in the garage. Once I got the car I went all throught it cleaning up the interrior and giving it a total repair when it really didnt need it. I still own the car today and it presently has 49,800 on the odometer, I have rebuilt the transmission, carb on the 200 cid, front end, steering box, had the rear end serviced, replaced the timming chain and head gasket, gone thru several power steering rams and muffler systems and 3 sets of tires. I would like to make this car a v8 car and change the 4 lug 8 inch drum brake set to a 5 lug 10 inch disc setup. My car did come thru with the 14 inch wheel option as some came throught with 13's in early 70 late 69.Anybody have any thoughts on the best way to do this... help! I'm in the gathering data mode/stage.
