I had a GOOD look at the cables ect and SURE 'NUFF the wire to the starter has decidedly seen better days... I still disconnected the neg cable (what a pain that was!!) and put a blanket over the engine... it was 18 degrees out and we don't have a garage here...
Tommorow, off to the parts store... *sigh* I really need to ask Santa for a good tool kit...
