Thanks T.L., your right about the dye but I've found with this paint (no primer required) that you CAN paint the kick panels, doors (not the door panels, but the metal interior of the door), as well as the rear deck (fiberboard).
Make SURE you clean the plastics EXTREMELY well and rinse with very hot water to remove any soap residue (I used soap & water first, then 409 to clean, then rinsed well). Expect to take three coats to get a very since covering. I took one of the front kick panels, painted it, let it dry 48 hours and then flexed it, etc to see if the paint would flake. It didn't!
Anyways, pictures will follow soon, I'm extremely impressed with the way it turned out, about as "factory" as you can get! ;)
: There's a special dye that you can get from J.C. Whitney for kick pannels, etc. Spray-paint such as mentioned below works well for dashes as long as you're not changing the color...

: : : As I've recently re-painted the interior (dash, panels, rear-deck) of my '76 Maverick I'd like to recommend Dupli-Color T-257 Medium Blue if you have a blue interior in your Maverick.
: : : The color match is *extremely* close and makes the interior look factory-new. It's quite a job to paint the dash but the results are definitely worth it. I'll post a picture soon.
