My main point was that you should do the body/paint LAST. Obviously, a nice interior will do you no good if the car isn't drivable. But you don't want to be pulling out the seats and other components after a new paint job...


: : It should run great with only 96,000 miles on it. Unless you want more power in which case I'd reccomend swapping in a 302. My '73 has 177,000 miles on it and it's ready for a rebuild. My method is to start with the interior (mine is cherry), then the mechanical (engine, tranny, suspension) and save the body/paint for last. That way you won't screw up the body/paint while doing the mechanical stuff...

: Me, I go for the mechanical first... (Okay okay, so I had a "quicky body-n-paint" but that was for 'other purposes!) It doesn't do me any good to have her look pretty if I can't drive her! LOL!
