Stefan:
I would be happy to write some articles for your FAQ project. Maybe you could post a list of the specific topics you want discussed, and then people could pick from that and write about something in their area of expertise. I have one suggestion, though. I think that the information in the articles should be verified before it is posted for use. I have visited other sites that have a FAQ area, and the answers were obviously written by amateurs and contained a lot of false or incomplete information. The FMIS is in my opinion one of the best sites on the web for our hobby, and I think a certain high standard should be maintained. There are a lot of talented people who post on this board every day, and it would be great if we could come together and pool our knowledge for the good of the regulars and visitors alike.
: This month the site recieved nearly 60 thousand hits and used just over 1 gig of bandwidth. That is quite a lot but my limit is 1.5 gigs but each month the site uses more bandwidth. What uses the most bandwith is the message board because it keeps getting bigger with each post.
: So by next month, I will have to start a fresh one and this current board will be available for reference. What I think I will do is "zip" this current board and the original one and make them available for downloading.
: Id like to also start a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) on common questions like engine swaps, disc brake upgrade, etc. With the FAQ, people would have the info they need at their finger tips and would not have to post the same question over and over. Anyone volunteers?
: Id like to get your feedback on these two topics. Thank you
