The Passenger side small outlet goes to the heater core via heater hose. The driver's side small outlet goes to the inlet on the thermostat housing via a short 90 degree bended hose. The other heater hose goes directly to the intake manifold. Hope this helps, good luck with your V8 project.
: I am trying to get my maverick running...I rebuilt a 302 a while ago for it and I've finally gotten time to try to get it going. I've run into one final problem though. On the water pump there are two small nozzles (output I guess) aside from the one that comes from the radiator. There is also a nozzle on the fitting for the radiator from the manifold (this nozzle isn't for the radiator though, it looks like some sort of bypass for the thermostat). So, I know that two of them must play a role in the heater...but what does the third do? Since the car didn't origionally have a V8 I have no idea what is going on...
