I read about WEST's message on the Truck. My 302 '77 Maverick will run fine whenever I just start it and the engine is cool. I can floor board if for miles. But after I run it for awhile, like if I go to town and ride around, when I get on it It bougs down Like it isn't getting any fuel. sometimes it gets so bad I can't give it a half peddle. I have thought and thought about it. I am sure it only does it after it has been running awhile. So far I have changed the gas tank with a brand new one, fuel lines, every filter twice, blew out the metal line and replaced the fuel pump with an electronic one and I was still getting the problem. I started thinking maybe the fuel pump was getting hot and pumping weak. Now I hear of a carb heat shield. I have never seen one before so I don't know anything about it (like where to get one). I wonder if that could be it? I have no fan shroud but the car never over heated. Also I haven't got to changing my air filter yet, It looks pretty bad. I hope someone here can give me some insite. Has anyone had a simular problem? Sorry this message is so long but I am really getting Tired of this fuel Problem.

Any Ideas?
Phillip

Thanks alot for any help.
