That's cool but you really don't need a "shift-kit" in an early '70s C-4. They shift plenty hard & fast in stock form. My '73 chirps the tires from 1st-2nd at only half-throttle and at full throttle, it about snaps your neck---hard on tires & U-joints but GREAT for performance...

: All Right! Here's what I do to street driven C-4's:
: 1. Replace all bushings(hard to get at corner store,
: but TCI has 'em).
: 2. Make sure end play of little gears on planetary are
: in spec.
: 3. Scrounge in pile of tranny's at salvage yard for the
: good drums and servos(find this from Ford shop manual).
: 4. Install a B&M TransKIT(the$200 one), and perform
: their modifications to the letter.
: 5. Don't trust radiator to cool it.
: This will give you a rock solid, hard hitting trans that will
: live behind a the hottest street-driven small block
: that you can put in front of it, and Maw can still
: put 'er in drive and go to her ceramics class!
: Good Luck
: Mark
