: I may not be a guru like Craig, but can tell ou that my Mav with a Boss 302 in it handles fine with manual steering. You won't be able to turn the wheels at a stand still but I am able to easily back in and out of parallell parking spots.
: As for looseness in the steering. I too had problems with this. Most of my play came from a wornout idler arm. Double check this to see if you have any slop in it.
