: could be carb. vacume leak. cracked intake,
: bad timing chain. spray carb cleaner on the
: base gasket and the carb gasket. if idle speeds
: up, you found a bad gasket.
: check for timing jumping(timing light). if you know how to set the timing. One time my mav sputtered and timing was jumping, it was a loose
: coil wire to the distribitor. check rotor, cap, point
: condition.....
: good luck

: : I just got a 76 Maverick and it keeps stalling out like its
: : out of gas. Its driveable for about 3 or 4 miles then it will just sputter and die. All I have to do is wait abit and it`ll start up again and sputter and putt its way home
: : I, of course, put gas in it, changed the fuel
: : filter, fuel lines, and fuel pump. Could there be a problem
: : with the carb itself? if so how do I fix it?! HELP!

SOUNDS LIKE A CRACKED COIL TO ME,SPEND THE $12 AND CHANGE THE COIL AND LET US KNOW IF THIS DOES THE TRICK
