Disc brakes are a must with ANY engine size. You only need to change the front springs; however, the 3-leaf rear springs were weak on ALL Mavericks and I would recomend adding a fourth regardless. Changing front coil springs is a pain in the ass and DANGEROUS. Only do so if you are experienced--otherwise have someone else do it for you. You basically need a donor car with all the necessary parts. If you have this--it won't be that much more difficult than swapping the "six" for another "six".

*Crossmember
*Motor-mounts
*V-8 Bell crank or Z-bar IF manual transmission
*V-8 Radiator
*all related accessories & brackets

: Exactly how much dinero we talkin here? That's the biggest problem.
: My grabber came with a 250 and i know it'd be alot cheaper just to
: put another 250 in but i sure would like the extra power. I'm
: thinking about dooing the swap a little at a time while using a 250 so I have a
: couple other questions like:

: 1: Will 10inch breaks work fine with a 6-cil?
: 2: Do only the coil springs need to be changed in the front suspention?
: 3: Is there anything else that a 302 hast to have that my 250
: would work fine with. That way I can take care of that stuff and just wait
: untill i have more money to throw the 302 in.

: Thanks for the help
