I purchased an 8" rear-end, supposedly from a 77 Maverick but when I did a check on the center section tag it crossed to a 75-77 Granada. Maybe the center section was swapped at one time and they put the tag for the new punpkin on this housing. What I was looking for was the narrowest housing I could find and the Maverick was recommended but now I wonder if it really is from a Maverick, maybe from a Mustang II?? It measures about 56 1/4" from drum to drum.
Also, it has 10 X 1-3/4" brakes, is there an upgrade that will bolt to the small bearing 8" housing that will increase the brake size, maybe from a Granada?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
