I haven't weighed mine specifically but I can give you some 'ballpark' figures. The early ones 69-70 about 2800-3000 lb. 71-73 about 2950-3150 and the 74-up 3100-3300+. It really depends on the equipment installed/deleted on the car, the later ones(73+) got door safety beams, crash bumpers, smog equipment, additional sound deadening material, etc. which began to make them "porky" as the model years progressed. Don't forget to include the dolly or trailer weight when you figure out "total towing weight".
: I'm looking to take my Mav to Englishtown this weekend to race and don't want to exceed the towing limits of my Explorer. Has anyone out there actually had their Maverick weighed? If so, what did it it weigh in at? Is there a weight difference between model years? Naturally, the 302 cars are going to weigh more, but by how much?
