Summit Racing sells a set of headers specifically for the 70-77 Maverick with a 302. I am not sure which company makes these headers for Summit. The cost for them is $79.95 + s/h. I do not know how well they fit as I have not gotten that far yet. (Still rebuilding the suspension) The stock number from Summit is SUM-G9031. Note: this same stock number is also called out for 64-73 Mustang, 67-73 Cougar, Fairlane and Torino, so it sounds like this may be a generic header and you might not be any better than you all ready are.....

: What brand of headers fit the best for a 302 maverick? The ones I have in my car[ BRAND UNKNOWN] rub the shock towers and fire wall and are so tight I have to pull the heads off to get the motor out or headers out.It also took 2 hours to get the trans down through the headers after it was all unbolted, thought I was going to have to pull the heads to get the trans out.Has any one used Hooker Super Comp Headers? Thanx E.J.
