I had rust in the same place on my Grabber. I removed the batt. tray, cut out the rust welded in some sheet metal and replace the battery tray with a custom built stainless tray. I did it all without removeing any fenders. I did take out those little plastic thingys behind the head light on that side and covered the ignition stuff with a fire-proof cloth.
: it worked out great and I dont care to much about the fact that its not OEM original. Now on my brothers 69 1/2 it would be a different story.
