After giving it some thought and reading y'alls posts and giving the backend a good looking over I've come to the conclusion that they sold me the wrong shocks. They sold me Monroe Gas Matic Plus #5803MP. Judging from the amount of dampening these shocks do suggest to me that they are made for the likes of an MG Midget. Any bump at all and the back end bounces quite a bit. I'm pretty sure that the knocking sound is the shocks bottoming out. New ones are on order from a different store.

: I'm haveing some trouble finding the cause of a rather loud knocking noise that happens when I hit a large or sharp bump. I just replaced the rear shocks and put new shoes in the back end. I've double checked the shock's and thier both fully installed and completely tight. I'm fairly certain I didn't screw up anything in the brakes and can't think of anything in there that would cause that anyway. Do any of you have any ideas on stuff I could check that could be causing it? It's getting kinda loud and I'm getting kinda worried.

: Steve
