The steering box out of a Fairlane is a simple bolt in, as is any ford car (power or manual steering) that does not have PS hoses in the steering box. Many Ford cars (including Mustangs & Mavericks) had power steering as an arm pushing the steering linkage. The steering box was identical to manual steering but had a smaller ratio. You can swap these out from a power steering Maverick as well (The article was written before PS was availible.) The only downside is the higher steering effort. -CP
: Looks great as does your Maverick.
: Anyone have any experience in some of the suspension modifications that were described in the article? Sure would be easier to crank my manual steering around.
