Sorry for the erroneous posts...
For a cheap '70's car, I'd have to say that the Mav / Comet bucket seats are some of the most comfortable around. I have a set in my '75 that are untouched and I have been very satisfied with them for 10 years now. The Comet seats in my '72 have been recovered with cloth, and I built up the outside portion with extra foam to give the seat more of a contour. As an added touch I retrofitted power lumbar bladders from a '91 Mustang. Now by hitting a switch I can adjust the support which is a great option on long drives. I would say that if you can find a decent set to put in your car then do it, as I don't think you'd regret it. Bucket seats from a Granada or Monarch are a direct bolt-in, just remember that the cars with a catylitic converter have that bump in the floorpan on the passenger side which requires a different seat track than the pre-emission equipped cars.
