: Well, you've eliminated a lot of possibilties. Here are some suggestions: : 1. Cat Converter could be plugged. This sounds like the most likely problem. Unbolt the converter and drive the car to test. : 2. Fuel Filter before the pump? Bad idea. The pump is not designed to suck through a filter, and the filter may have come apart or it may have worn out your new fuel pump. : 3. Egr could be sticking. Cant remember how the Maverick units work exactly, but it should have a vaccum port on it. At idle, apply vaccum to this port. RPM's should increase, and if they do the EGR is working properly. : 4.
