Just think if you get hit were your battery is and all that acid starts flying around, were it'll end up. In your backseat. Use min 2 gauge starter wire. The box will also protect the battery from items in the trunk hitting it. Or someone laying metal across the terminals and shorting it out. Now that will get your heart a pumping.

I want to relocate the battery in the trunk. Question is does it need to be in a box and if so, does it need to be vented to outside. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
