: If everything works normally with the lights on, you may have a weak ground. The front parking lights are grounded to the front of the firewall & the tail lights are grounded in the trunk. Just trace the wiring from the lights & find a lead that is screwed into the chassis. Remove it & clean the lead & chassis with sandpaper & reattach. If the screw hole is stripped then get a bigger screw or use a nut & bolt. After the ground is firmly attached you can spray a little paint on it to keep corrosion down. Bad grounds give you all kinds of weird light problems. Make sure your battery ground is clean too. The ground cable should be attached directly to the chassis At the voltage regulator & then continues to the engine block. This is the factory set up. Alot of times when cables are replaced this ground to the chassis gets omitted. Sometimes you can get away with it but sometimes you cant. Sometimes you can fry a voltage regulator in about 10 seconds with out it depending on how good the rest of the grounding wires are.

: : my car rules. when my lights are ON, both my hazard lights and my right turn signal dont work. (the turn signal started this last night), but my left one is just fine, even though the front left signal light is burnt out. i know the rear bulb isnt burnt out, cause it is still on when my lights are on. got any suggestions? i dont want to get pulled over. also, when my car is warmed up, it doesnt want to start. i can remedy the situation by putting a screwdriver, etc. into the carburator (the choke i think). its doing this now EVERY time i start my car EXCEPT in the morning after sitting in the below freezing IL night. its bugging the hell out of me. it starts RIGHT up in the mornings, but every other time, it doesnt want to start? any suggestions? thanks guys!
