The Maverick was introduced to the Public on April 17, 1969 (same day as Mustang). They were built months before then (although Feb would be very early). -CP

Point being, I posted a message back about a week ago about a gas cap for a 69 1/2 mav I had purchased(manufactured 02 69) It has come to my attention that the first mavs were made about 7 69. Then how was mine made in Feb? The car had been painted and they had painted over the tag inside the drivers door. The date was actually 12 69. No one made a big deal about the fact that I was looking like a fool; I appreciate that. Just wanted to say thanks. Happy Holidays from western North Carolina!
