This really doesn't have anything to do with your tranny but unless you have the specific swap headers from Auto Krafters or something you can't use headers in that swap I know I just wasted 80 bucks on a pair of summitt headers. Even with me clearencing the shock tower and the headers they wouldn't fit, so I'm gonna look into this 289 68' mustang manifold that are supposed to fit without mods. Oh yeah check you clearence on your fan I have about .25 inchs between my fan and my radiator. And I used a c-4 on my swap worked well just make sure you bolt the tranny onto to the engine first because it really sucks trying to line up the converter to flywheel bolts with them in the car.
