Ok everybody is inviteted to come to sunny So Cal to see a lot of Fords and hopefuly a lot of Mavericks(if you all come). This event is an annual club meeting for the Fabulous Fords Forever club that has turned into the biggest Ford gathering on the West Coast. It is sponsored by The ford Car Club Council, Knott's Berry Farms and Ford/Lincoln?Mercury. The most noted participants are Saleen, Ford SVT, Carol Shelby, Lindsey Wagner(Ford Comercials), and every type and model of every Ford ever produced that reside in and around So Cal. Last year there were over 2500 Ford cars and trucks at the show. More than half are Mustangs but don't let that stop you from coming out and seeing the GT40's, Cobra's, Comet's, Fairlane's, Torino's, Bronco's, '50's Mercury's, Model T's and A's, T-Bird's, Cugar's, Maverick's and some famous cars like the Sonny and Cher Mustang's or Carol Shelby's own 427 AC Cobra. Ford also display's some new models at the show. Last year they had the new Cugar and the new T-bird on display. Other clubs have mini meets at the show as well. Like the Saleen Owners Group, Merkur club, Shelby owners club and a few others all have there west coast meets at this event. I call it an event because it is not a show with prizes, it is a club gathering or event. Now the particulars. It is on April 9, 2000 which is a Sunday. At 10am until 3:30pm. Cars on display enter the show starting at 7am and will not be let in after 10am. spectators are let in all day free, but parking is $7.00. Entrants fee to display your car is $20.00 if you mail in your entrants form by March 25th. if after you will have to register at the show and it's $30.00. Also the Gate opens at 7am but the cars start lining up to get in at 4:30-5am and the line goes around the block and down 4 other streets by 7am so get there early. I got there last year at 5:30 and did not get into the show parking until 8:30am. Actually waiting in line was not so bad because you get to see almost all of the cars in the show driving on the street to get in line. I will be there early again this year to direct everybody to gether and save some spots they fill up fast. To get more info on the event their web page is www.fordcarclubs.org. Hope to see you all there and I will post this again on each months boards just for a reminder.
