Ha ha! Nice try but I'll never part with my Mavericks! :)

Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate the input. I know a 4.6 or 5.4 would be easier, it's just that I seem to want something unique, something never done before. I must be crazy for trying to stuff that huge engine in a small car like a Maverick, but I'm gonna give it a try I think. WHat do you think of the 6 speed truck trans? My God, can you imagine the Z bar I'd have to come up with for that? lol What am I DOING!!!

: Sounds BAD A$$ to me WOOOOOO!!!! i would rocommend fitting the engine first and checking height You may be able to use a fiberglass cowl hood. I have a few connectons and I might be able(long shot) get a customed Fiberglassed hood made for you. I would go with a tub job as well. Those motors are torque monsters!!! I would also dare say a Six speed Transmission. I also have a few favors with a machinist buddy of mine. So if you can draw up plans he can make it for special brackets etc....... Since you are tired of your other Mavs i will glady take them off your hands for free...lol :) Good Luck Sam. Oh yea I think you will need to set the engine back some, those are aluminum engines but still nose heavy and pretty long. Why not try a 4.6l Cobra DOHC motor might be a little easier. :) You can by those strait out of the Motorsport catalog.I think they are based on the Mark VIII motor Steel Block however.
