When I got mine this past summer, they do leave a bit to be desired in the "Sports car" area. They are pretty flat. if you got some, you would probably want to have them recovered, and have the uphostery guy/gal add some extra padding. Especially with that Mav you have. You would probably want some good fitting seats to keep you behind the wheel when you're taking tight corners in that 90's Mav you have. I know the Rodeo buckets in my 90 Isuzu p'up really make me feel more stable when taking a hard corner. They have strong foam in the sides. Conforms to my back and butt. Wish my Mav buckets fit like that!!!

: Right now i have some modified '93 Merc. Topaz buckets in mine, and they're GREAT for two people, but they leave no room in the back seat. My question is, after reading a 1969 article on the mavericks, they make it sound like the stock buckets are really worthless (weak springs, etc.)....so, should i just be happy with the buckets i have, or should i switch to the Maverick buckets so i can have people in the back?
