Be careful with the modulator

I does hold in the tranny fluid. Get ready for some to pour out. Might want to put some rags down, or a catch bucket. There should be a little rod in there too. Has to go back in. After you get it all back together, the shifting might change. If you look in the end of the modulator(non-threaded side) before changing it, you'll see a little screw in there. I think you turn it out to make it shift later. Need to turn it 2 complete turns before you'll notice the difference.

: Poor ol' Nicky... I tried to take him out again today (just around the block) and for the first few minets there was this gawd awful thudding sound... it increased with a little speed (say about 15 MPH) and eventually dissapeared for the most part...
: I'm replacing the U-joints, carb, and feul filter tommorow and I am seriously thinking about trying the modulator as well....
: PLEASE don't tell me that that noise is a f****ed up wheel bearing...
: If so... "cheapish" way to fix it? (Like raiding a whole assembely from the shopping mall?)
