2 ways to do this. First is to buy an aftermarket floor shifter & follow the instructions that come with the kit. this is the easiest way cause you dont have to drop the transmission pan. The second is to go to a junk yard & find either a Maverick or Comet that came with a floor shift You can even use an early Mustang or Granada. You will need the complete shifter assembly along with all linkage. Also you have to drop the transmission pan & valve body to get the shifter arm out of the transmission. I would also cut out the metal around the floor mount & weld or rivit it to your floor. Some of them have a bolted on plate for the mounts which makes it easier. This way is more work but will look more factory.
