What is the absolute worst thing you can do to a car? NOT DRIVE IT!! Storing it, and/or not driving it is the worst thing you can do to a car. Gasket try up, things quit working, etc. Whenever I look into buying a Maverick and somebody tells me it hasn't been driven in 3 years...you might as well figure on buying all new brakes, rebuilding the trans, rebuilding the head(s), all new hoses, etc, etc, etc
