:well it's a easy answer, you just have to provide more info please;
car weight, estimated will work or what is it?
cam rpm range?
carb size?
type of manifold and rpm range it works in best, or design?
comp ratio?
heads stock/modified?
trans type?
rear tire dia?
any and all info you can provide will help allot.
3,55 will be a good start and don't twist it to tight. I hope freshen up means a good rebuild or it won't last long.

I'm going to be bracket racing my maverick this season using the original, freshened 250ci straight six. The car currently has an 8 inch rear with 2.79 gears. I was thinking to upgrade to 3.55's or even 4.11's for lower ET's. While this is still a street car, lowest ET is the most important thing so I'm prepared to deal with doing only 55mph on the highway with the increased ratio. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this deep of a gear with a 250ci six? Any advice, comments, or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.
