The car itself weighs 3260lbs with driver and will be raced at a 1/4 mile dragstrip. I am using the factory 3-speed automatic. As of right now it has the factory cam, intake, and exhaust manifold and 4,000rpm shift points. This may change in the near future if funds $$ allow. The carb is still a 1V, however it is a rebuilt unit from a 300 I-6. The car will be raced on tires which are 26.1" tall. As a seasoned bracket racer I understand the importance of reaction time, 60 ft, and 330 ft times. Most of my experience has been with V-8's running in the 10's and 11's and my goal here is to maximize the potential of the 250ci six while retaining as many original pieces (ie carb,cam,etc) as possible. My mathmatical calculations have the car crossing the finish line at 4234RPM if I switch to a 4.11 ratio and retain the 26.1" tall tire. So far this looks like the best choice in my opinion. Any additional comments or info you can provide is greatly appreciated.
