I have a similar interference problem with the clutch linkage, If you don't have the original equilizer (Z) bar (yours is modified from a 6-cyl unit, maybe), then you might have minor problems. No easy fix. As for the headers, you can weld them, but it doesn't usually last long. Your oil-out-the-filler-tube? Make sure you have a PCV setup first. Early 289's did not have PCV, only a draft tube from the intake. If you replaced the intake with an aftermarket unit, and still have no PCV setup, that could cause your oil problem. -CP
