Lotsa questions. I would stick with the 302 for now, since the 351W would take $$ and a lot of work (save it for when you retire). Put an aftermarket aluminum intake and a 4-bbl carb on it. Fuel Injection is marginally better, but like the 351, too expensive for now. (those are two things I would like to do someday). The "Cobra" hoods? If you mean the Grabber hoods with the small dual scoops, then they don't help the engine run any better. The scoops are fake. I bet you can't find one in a junkyard, but if you did that'd be the find of the year for this board. They are rare, only used on the 71-2 Maverick Grabbers.
