: We rebuilt the front end on my Mav and simply replaced the entire lower control arm. We got it new from, I believe, Advanced Auto or maybe Discount Auto Parts. Anyway, it was pretty reasonable, I think around $30-$40 for both sides, and it saved a bunch of work. Tim

: : :it all comes out. Drill the rubber out and take the steel sleeve out next. Then pull the rubber out, next using a file, file a break in the steel sleeve and break it and remove it. Then you can use a press and press the new one in.

: : I'm stripping the entire front end off of my Mav to rebuild it. Can anyone tell me if the outer metal jacket to the lower control arm bushing is an integral part of the arm or if it comes out with the bushing? Also any advice on how to take this bushing out would be appreciated. Thanks again. John B.
