Mine is a double-pumper 600 CFM. Double pumpers are a lot more expensive than vacuum secondary carbs, but they are a lot easier to adjust for problems like you have (bogging, etc.) You could find someone that could tune your 600 for you, changing the shooters & springs, but I could never get mine quite right. The double pumper opens the secondaries mechanically, so they always open at the same time. I noticed a HUGE performance difference.
I can't remember the part #, but it is not a shiny finish, just normal. I have a picture on my website geocities.com/cping3/mygrabber.html.
I have a stick, mine didnt have a kickdown but I think it can be ordered with one-CP

: What model and part # did you get when you bought your new Holley? When I was talking about my secondaries not opening , I ment they don't seem to open when I floor it from a dead stop. What I don't understand is that my car isn't performing up too my expectations, I raced an Acura(that car did 16.5 in the 1/4) and I had him on the line but after 40 mph I didn't have much go, partly because my kick down is missing but there seems to be flat spots in excelleration and simetimes I have a low end bog.I want to get a new carb. , and since you said your Holley is great then I am interested what type you have so I can get the same, Holleys cost less too. Thanks Charlie.
